Award-Winning Broadcaster Jennifer Rampersaud Will Join as Host  

NEW YORK — The New York Global Short Film Fest 2026 is set to take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, bringing together filmmakers, producers, artists, and cultural leaders from around the world for a full day of international cinema, networking, and celebration. The festival will run from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM across two prestigious New York City venues: the Queens Public Library – Central Auditorium and the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL).

The daytime screenings and festival activities will begin at the Queens Public Library – Central Auditorium, while the evening program will move to the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL), beginning at 4:00 PM.

The evening gala at JCAL will be hosted by Jennifer Rampersaud, an award-winning international broadcaster, media personality, entrepreneur, author, and community leader. As the Co-Owner and Publisher of Merrick Living Magazine, Executive Producer of Caribbean Night Long Island, and host of the daily radio program Wealth Building with Jen, Jennifer has built a distinguished career dedicated to empowering communities through media, education, entrepreneurship, and meaningful storytelling.

Recognized with numerous awards, proclamations, and community service honors from government officials, civic organizations, and nonprofit organizations, Jennifer Rampersaud continues to inspire audiences nationally and internationally through her work in broadcasting, publishing, and live events. Her passion for promoting culture, education, and community engagement makes her an ideal host for one of New York’s most anticipated international film festivals.

The evening ceremony at JCAL will welcome filmmakers, producers, festival organizers, industry professionals, and distinguished guests representing countries from across the globe. The program will feature official selections, award presentations, filmmaker recognition, and opportunities for international networking and cultural exchange.
