Dr. Pratap Das is a distinguished physician, healthcare administrator, and cultural ambassador based in New York. Under his visionary leadership the organization has become a vibrant platform for promoting diverse cultures — with a special focus on Bengali language, traditions, and identity.
Diaspora USA is widely known for organizing major cultural initiatives, including the colorful Bengali New Year (Pohela Boishakh) celebrations in New York. The organization is also actively involved in arts, literature, and community engagement programs, including film festivals and cultural showcases that bring together voices from around the world.
Notably, Diaspora USA is a key partner of the New York Global Short Film Festival 2026 (Season One), where Dr. Pratap Das is serving as the Convener. Through this role, he continues to bridge cultures, support creative expression, and strengthen global artistic collaboration.
